as of 2023, we are now the arcane jelly cult and our sporadic design work can be found on itch.io.

the dark lands redux (2023)

a revisiting and revision to the original 2015 publication. the book has been updated with new art, layout, and minor editing changes for clarity.

the dark lands was a very experimental book in terms of my design sensibilities and ethos at the time. (whatever that means.) while not everything works, i think there is some real gold hidden within and its something i'd really like to "remaster" in a big way at some point in the future.

the baron of blood redux (2023)

similarly to the dark lands redux, this is a revision and slight update to the original 2014 adventure setting. the book has likewise been updated with new art, layout, and editing changes.

the baron of blood was the first thing i ever designed and published with the broader public (and dungeon world fandom) in mind. while there are things i would change about it now or do differently, i'm still really proud of what it was and would run it again in a heartbeat for fresh players.

durf souls (2024)

my entry into durf jam 2024, a rules hack of durf that brought souls-like elements to the tabletop. as with every game jam, i ran out of time and the final product is not as polished as i'd like it to be. as is fitting for the various dark souls games, there is cut and rushed content. when durf advanced releases later this year, i plan to "remaster" durf souls to include some of the cut content and rehash some of the rules.

twenty twenty five room dungeon (2025)

a currently on hiatus attempt at a self-imposed design challenge for 2025. the original goal was to publish one five room dungeon each week for a tome of roughly 50 dungeons at year's end. that has not happened and as with my experience with all design challenges, life has made this challenging trying.
